Overview

The position of Utility is one that requires a person to pay attention to detail and have a high regard for system flow. The goal is to ensure overall production is flowing smoothly in and out of all departments.

Overview of Duties and Responsibilities

• Hem Saw Operation: Job travelers will be placed in a basket with specified material type, size and length. Saw bar stock for machinists and stage in their racks.
• Raw Material: Sort and organize incoming material. Paint material according to Epic color chart. Put raw material stock away in rack.
• Fork Truck: Loading and Unloading trucks, re-arranging product on the floor for operators at their machines.
• Drill and Tap: Set up and operate drill & tap machines, keeping area clean and organized.
• Oil/Coolant/Waste Barrels: Monitor barrels, switch or empty as needed. Keep stock and re-order when needed.
• Clip Machine: Run and quality check parts, load material as needed to keep machine running, finsih boxes, load them on pallet.
• Follow all safety procedures diligently.

Additional Duties / Expectations:

• Assist in Shipping / Laser Etching / Receiving / Truck Driving
• De-burring Parts
• Sandblasting
• Tumbler
• Part Assembly
• Be knowledgeable in the machines and the measuring tools currently being used
• Machine Maintenance Tasks: Change filters, Coolant concentration/levels, etc
• Building Maintenance Tasks: Change light bulbs. Shovel and salt sidewalks, etc
• Any parts deems as scrap must be marked with red dye to reduce the risk of mixing with good parts
• Empty and take out trash
• Sweep shop floors
• Empty Chip Gondola
• Have an understanding of procedures
• Adhere to health and safety regulations
• Adhere to all company policies outlines in the employee manual
• Pay attention to detal; consistently providing good quality work
• Ask questions
