Your Role as a Medical Assistant
As a Medical Assistant specializing in OB/GYN care, you’re not just supporting the team—you’re a crucial part of it. Your skills will ensure our patients receive personalized, compassionate care throughout their healthcare journey.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Care and Support:
- Welcome patients warmly, escort them to exam rooms, and create a comfortable environment.
- Assist with OB/GYN-specific patient care, including preparing for pelvic exams, ultrasounds, and gynecologic procedures.
- Vital Information Collection:
- Accurately measure and record vital signs, ensuring the care team has the details they need.
- Gather and chart patients’ OB/GYN history and symptoms with precision.
- Diagnostics and Procedures:
- Perform injections, vaccinations, and assist with procedures like Pap smears and endometrial biopsies.
- Collect blood and urine samples, including those for pregnancy tests and prenatal screenings.
- Education and Coordination:
- Educate patients on prenatal care, contraception, and other women’s health topics, empowering them to make informed decisions.
- Coordinate follow-up care and appointments to help patients stay on track with their health.
- Team Collaboration:
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other team members to deliver seamless OB/GYN care.
- Pitch in where needed to ensure the team provides high-quality care.
