Veterans and Military Spouses Encouraged to Apply Civilian position supporting the military communityMonday through Friday daysBenefits:$22-25 per hourHealth and Welfare Fringe Benefits: $5.09 per hour401(k) available Paid Time OffPaid HolidaysPaid Sick Time Long Term Disability (LTD), Short Term Disability (STD), and medical, dental, life, and vision plan options available Referral Management Clerk - Lead Job Overview:The Pacific Integrated Appointment and Referral Center (PIRMAC) is a contractor operated centralized services center that serves as the primary point of contact for Puget Sound Military Healthcare System (PSMHS) beneficiaries for Patient Appointing Services (PAS), Referral Management Services (RMS), and Clear and Legible Reporting Services (CLRS).Call center that manages inbound and outbound calls from beneficiaries, validates beneficiary eligibility, schedules, cancels, and reschedules patient appointments in order to provide timely access to quality healthcare.Provide outbound calls in order to schedule specialty appointments for beneficiaries who have received a direct care specialty referral. Patient Appointing Clerk services span a range of functions to include, but not limited to; verifying beneficiary eligibility via the Defense Enrollment Eligibility Reporting System (DEERS) system, updating patient demographic information, and scheduling beneficiary requests for Military Treatment Facility (MTF) primary or specialty care appointments, as well as completing requests for cancellations and appointment rescheduling. The work includes completing outbound calls to facilitate the timely scheduling of specialty appointments in support of specialty referrals generated by an MTF Health Care Provider (HCP). Appointing services also include outbound calls to facilitate scheduling of preventative health appointments and surgery reminder calls.With the expansion of integrated specialty service lines at sister MTFs, appointing agents will serve an important role in scheduling and coordinating appointments with other PSMHS MTFs in order to meet beneficiary health care needs within TRICARE access standards.Additional contracted services include processing Secure Message Service (SMS) transmittal requests for appointments, drive-time mapping capabilities in support of specialty care appointing, as well as outbound letters to beneficiaries referred for MTF specialty care.Duties Disposition referrals in accordance with current business practicesProvide MHS Genesis secure messaging services as requiredResearch, to include but not limited to claims, clinical history, and chart notesProvide agent coaching for processing errorsCreate and update job aids as neededConduct presentations as neededCorrect referral processing errors as neededAssign tasks, worklists and monitor help queue as neededMonitor and maintain agent productivity and metricsAnswer patient and agent inquiries regarding referralsClose expired referrals as directedRequest chart notes as neededAnswer each call within 60 seconds of receiving the callUtilize resources provided in order to resolve referrals and callsConduct outbound calls as requiredHandle each call received, providing a resolution for the customerOther duties as assignedReferral Management Clerk - Lead Job Qualifications:High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) equivalencyMinimum of 6 months of medical insurance authorization experience1 year supervisor experienceSkilled in Microsoft 365 and other software programsMust have excellent verbal and written communication skills, and able to communicate effectively with co-workers, clinical staff, and possess customer service skills.
