About Epic Electric
At Epic Electric, we're not just wiring buildings — we're building a reputation. Our culture is rooted in craftsmanship, integrity, and genuine customer care. We believe every job, big or small, is a reflection of who we are. If you take pride in clean work, showing up on time, and treating every customer like they're your only customer, you'll fit right in.
Epic Electric focuses primarily on residential electrical work, with some commercial projects included. We don't chase every type of job — we focus on doing these well.
We're looking for a licensed Journeyman Electrician who shares that mindset; someone who sees electrical work as a craft, not just a job. This is a part-time position (approximately 28–34 hours per week), ideal for a skilled electrician looking for flexibility without sacrificing quality work and steady pay.
What You'll Do
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems, wiring, fixtures, and equipment — primarily on residential projects, with occasional commercial work
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to plan and execute electrical work
- Install and connect wiring, circuit breakers, transformers, and other electrical components in compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local amendments
- Diagnose electrical issues using appropriate testing devices and repair or replace faulty components
- Ensure all work meets Utah building codes and passes inspection
- Supervise and mentor apprentice electricians on job sites
- Maintain accurate job documentation, including materials used, hours worked, and any code compliance notes
- Communicate clearly and professionally with customers, explaining work performed and answering questions with patience and respect
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site at all times
- Follow all OSHA and company safety protocols
- Represent Epic Electric with professionalism — on time, in uniform, and ready to deliver an excellent customer experience every time
Required Qualifications
- Active Utah Journeyman Electrician License issued by DOPL (Division of Occupational and Professional Licensing), in good standing
- Strong working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and Utah code amendments
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to lift 50 lbs, work at heights, and perform physical labor in varying conditions
- Hand tools
Preferred Qualities (a.k.a. What Makes You "Epic")
- A craftsman's mindset: you care about doing it right, not just doing it fast
- A customer-first attitude, even when things get complicated on-site
- Strong communication skills and a team-player attitude
- Detail oriented, organized, and ability to project manage efficiently
- Experience mentoring apprentices or leading small crews
- A positive, solutions-oriented approach to problems on the job
- Punctuality and pride in personal presentation and work quality
