Job Description

Job Summary: The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems and equipment in a manufacturing warehouse environment. This role ensures the efficient operation of machinery and electrical systems to minimize downtime and maximize productivity while adhering to safety protocols and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of production machinery and facility equipment.
• Conduct emergency/unscheduled repairs during production and perform scheduled maintenance as needed.
• Execute mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic repairs on production machines.
• Perform machinist duties, including diagnosing problems, replacing or repairing parts, testing, and making adjustments.
• Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to carry out required maintenance tasks.
• Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities.
• Address plumbing and carpentry needs within the facility.
• Utilize hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment to complete tasks.
• Detect and report faulty operations, defective materials, or unusual situations to supervisors.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean, orderly work area.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 3 years of experience in electronic/electrical maintenance within an industrial setting. preferably in a food manufacturing environment.
• Strong technical skills, including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Strong knowledge of industrial electronics, PLC programming, VFDs, and automation systems.
• Ability to diagnose, repair, and install electrical and control systems in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and interpret manuals, schematics, and work orders.
• Experience with preventative maintenance practices.
• Familiarity with plumbing, carpentry, and general facility maintenance tasks.
• Proficiency with a variety of hand and power tools, as well as testing equipment.
  
  

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, and climb throughout the workday.
• Capability to lift and move items over 75 pounds frequently.
• Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
