JOB SUMMARY:
Under close supervision distributes clean linen to user departments and maintains stock levels on nursing floors. Exhibits the F.I.R.S.T. values (Friendliness, Innovation, Respect, Service, and Trust).
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, DUTIES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Replenishes and delivers linen exchange carts daily and checks other areas for linen supplies for appropriate replenishment.
- Distributes emergency linen supplies as needed.
- Maintains computerized linen tracking system.
- Orders and maintains linen inventory.
- Picks up soiled linen from soiled room.
- Assists with care and maintenance of department equipment and supplies.
- Maintains departmental records, reports, and files as required.
- Demonstrates a commitment to professional accountability and growth to maintain and expand knowledge and skills.

WORKING CONDITIONS, HAZARDS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT:
Exposed to outdoor elements (cold, rain, etc.). Extremely heavy physical effort, stationary position, moving around the hospital, and moves supplies. Must be able to move or position 25 lbs. independently.

Requirements:Previous experience in laundry service preferred.
Shift: 1st Shift
Compensation: $12.80 - $17.60 per hour based on years of experience. 12.5% night shift differential. 5% weekend shift differential.
