POSITION SUMMARY:

The Jr Helpdesk Technician provides first level IT support and ticket resolution within the organization. Their duties include triaging incoming end user requests and working on complex software and system issues via phone, email, or in-person. They perform troubleshooting, software installations, configuring systems, and documenting solutions. In addition, the Jr Helpdesk Technician will complete new user equipment setups, provision Active Directory accounts, maintain email distribution lists, perform user/application audits, and assist with other IT tasks as needed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide hardware and software support for local and remote computers.
  • Troubleshoot basic user networking: wireless, VPN, printing, file sharing.
  • Perform preventative maintenance including the installation of service packs, patches, and updates.
  • Support and roll out new applications.
  • Track and document user assets and inventory.
  • Provide support for smartphones, tablets, printers, and multi-function devices.
  • Assist with corporate webinars.
  • Troubleshoot email delivery issues including spam filtering.
  • Manage tickets/tasks submitted through the ticketing system.
  • Identify opportunities to improve support processes.
  • Complete other job duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION:

  • College degree in a computer-related field required.
  • 1 years’ experience working in a support or helpdesk role.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour
