Position Overview
Epcon Partners is seeking two (2) experienced Dual Certified Welding & Coating Inspectors to support field inspection activities across a multi-state pipeline project. Inspectors will provide simultaneous oversight of welding and coating operations throughout the course of construction. This is a contract field position requiring the ability to travel and work across multiple project sites.

Epcon Partners is seeking two (2) experienced Dual Certified Welding & Coating Inspectors to support field inspection activities across a multi-state pipeline project. Inspectors will provide simultaneous oversight of welding and coating operations throughout the course of construction. This is a contract field position requiring the ability to travel and work across multiple project sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide on-site inspection of welding activities in accordance with applicable codes, standards, and project specifications
- Conduct coating inspections including surface preparation, application, and holiday testing
- Oversee and document both welding and coating operations occurring simultaneously in the field
- Review and interpret welder qualifications, WPS/PQR documentation, and coating system data sheets
- Perform and document pre-construction, in-progress, and final inspections
- Identify non-conformances and issue NCRs as required; communicate deficiencies to field supervision
- Maintain accurate daily inspection reports, photographs, and project records
- Ensure compliance with project procedures and applicable industry standards
- Coordinate with project management, contractors, and other inspection personnel as needed
- Active CWI (Certified Welding Inspector) certification — AWS D1.1 and/or pipeline welding standards
- Active AMPP Basic or NACE CIP Level 1 Coating Inspection certification (or higher)
- Demonstrated field experience performing dual welding and coating inspection on pipeline or energy infrastructure projects
- Proficiency with inspection documentation, daily reporting, and NCR processes
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather and terrain across multiple jobsite locations
- Valid driver's license; must be able to travel and relocate as project requires
- Strong knowledge of applicable codes and standards (API 1104, ASME B31.4/B31.8, SSPC, NACE, etc.)
