PART-TIME CODE COMPLIANCE INSPECTORCentral FloridaEP Consultants, Inc. (EPCI), a Florida-based building code consulting and inspection firm, is seeking experienced construction professionals to assist with a large commercial and institutional project in Central Florida.This is an excellent opportunity for retired building officials, inspectors, plans examiners, engineers, architects, or currently licensed professionals seeking part-time work.
QUALIFICATIONSApplicants should possess one or more of the following Florida licenses or certifications: Commercial Building Inspector Plumbing Inspector Mechanical Inspector Electrical Inspector Combination Inspector Building Code Administrator Professional Engineer (PE) Registered Architect (RA)Preference will be given to candidates holding multiple inspection certifications or professional licenses.
RESPONSIBILITIES Perform field inspections for compliance with the Florida Building Code and applicable standards. Document inspection findings and prepare inspection reports. Coordinate with contractors, project managers, design professionals, and owners. Verify compliance with approved construction documents. Assist with quality assurance and code compliance activities throughout construction.
POSITION DETAILS Part-time and flexible scheduling. Competitive hourly compensation based upon qualifications and experience. Long-term project with significant inspection volume. Opportunities for additional assignments throughout Florida.
IDEAL CANDIDATES Retired or semi-retired building officials. Licensed engineers or architects interested in construction observation and code compliance. Multi-certified inspectors with commercial construction experience.
