What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mechanical Engineer (MEP) position at EPC STAFF?

We are working with several Architects and MEP Consulting Firms in the Dallas-Fort Worth area seeking Mechanical Designers, Engineers, and Project Managers.
We have openings for candidates with various levels of experience designing HVAC, Plumbing, Piping, and/or Fire Protection systems on commercial and industrial projects.
Typical projects include healthcare, mission-critical, science/technology, educational, government/federal, retail/hospitality, and commercial/mixed-use residential.
What you will do:
- Examine field conditions as required to support the development and completion of projects
- Design mechanical systems including calculations of heating and cooling loads while adhering to the firm’s QA/QC process
- Select and layout mechanical equipment such as pumps, chiller, fans, and boilers
- Develop project specifications
- Attend meetings with architects, owners, and building managers to discuss future and or current projects
Key skills and abilities needed for the positions are:
- Skill in the use of AutoCAD, REVIT, Navisworks, Trace, and Bluebeam;
- Ability to clearly communicate in both oral and written communication to individuals or groups.
Education and experience requirements are:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering;
- EIT / PE license a plus
Salary : $70,000 - $170,000
