Description

The Master Data Inventory Analyst is responsible for managing and maintaining accurate master data related to inventory across enterprise systems. This role ensures data integrity, supports inventory optimization, and collaborates with cross-functional teams to improve supply chain efficiency and decision-making.

Responsibilities

Master Data Management:

  • Create, maintain, and validate material master data in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
  • Ensure consistency and accuracy of inventory-related data across systems.
  • Perform regular audits and cleansing of master data to eliminate duplicates and outdated records.

Inventory Analysis

  • Analyze inventory levels, trends, and product demand to determine optimal stock levels.
  • Forecast future inventory needs using historical data and predictive models.
  • Identify discrepancies and perform root cause analysis to resolve inventory issues.

System & Process Support

  • Support data migration and synchronization activities during system upgrades or implementations.
  • Collaborate with IT and supply chain teams to improve data workflows and system functionality.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for data standards, policies, and procedures.

Reporting & Insights

  • Generate reports on inventory performance, data quality, and compliance.
  • Present actionable insights to stakeholders to support strategic sourcing and procurement decisions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 2 years of experience in inventory analysis or master data management.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, NetSuite) and inventory management software.
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formulas); SQL knowledge is a plus.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with data governance and master data lifecycle management.
  • Familiarity with procure-to-pay and order-to-cash processes.
  • Knowledge of compliance standards and inventory control policies.
  • Ability to work with large datasets and perform data cleansing.
