Senior Data Analyst - Data

Are you passionate about using data to improve healthcare outcomes? We are seeking a detail-oriented professional to support healthcare payment analysis, medical review evaluation, and policy research efforts that help strengthen federal healthcare programs.

The salary range for a candidate with the required qualifications is $80,000 - $95,000 per year. The salary range for a candidate with the preferred qualifications is $110,000 - $130,000 per year.

• Responsibilities:

  • Integrate datasets tracking healthcare billing and payment, medical reviews, and related operations

  • Construct summaries and analyses for monitoring healthcare payments and evaluating medical review activities

  • Contribute to research questions related to federal healthcare policy and payments through data querying and analysis

  • Collaborate with a multi-skilled team of analysts and policy experts on project-based work

• Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in an analytical field, such as mathematics, statistics, economics, or epidemiology, or similar academic experience

  • 2 years in data analysis related to healthcare

  • Proficiency in Excel

  • Proficiency in programming for data analysis in a language such as Python, R, SAS, or STATA

• Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2 years in data analysis related to Medicare

  • Familiarity with Medicare claims data

  • Data analysis proficiency in Python

  • Querying proficiency in SQL

  • Experience with the Integrated Data Repository (IDR) claims database 

• Other Requirements:

  • Eligibility for federal background checks, including residence in the United States for at least 3 years out of the past 5 years
