This position is located in Lovelock, NV
The CDL Driver is responsible for loading, hauling, and unloading ore and waste from the mine to the plant.
Essential Job Functions:
- Operating single or double belly dump and belt trailers that deliver ore from multiple mine sites to the production facility
- Loading with front-end loaders and tarping off the product
- Operating loaders and other heavy equipment at both the plant and mine
- Inspect, maintain, and ensure safe operation of all equipment being operated
- Maintain radio communication with your supervisor throughout the day for delivery instructions
- Know and follow all state and federal regulations as well as the company safety policies and procedures
Experience, Knowledge, Skills Required
- Ideal candidate will have a minimum of a high school diploma or GED
- MSHA certified (preferred)
- Three (3) – Five (5) years’ experience in commercial driving environment (preferred)
- Current Nevada Class A Driver’s License
- Endorsement for Double Trailers and Tankers (preferred)
- DOT Physical and Medical Card
- Prior heavy equipment operator experience (preferred)
- Excellent driving record
