Director of Advanced Analytics The Director of Advanced Analytics is a strategic leadership role responsible for overseeing the development and execution of advanced analytics initiatives to inform business strategy and promote drive data-driven decision-making. This role will utilize advanced prescriptive analytics to be a bridge between business intelligence and data science to provide applied strategies for business stakeholders. The Director will lead a team consisting of full-time and student employee resources. What you'll do Develop and execute the overall advanced analytics strategy, aligning with the broader business objectives. Identify and prioritize key analytics initiatives that will deliver the greatest impact. Ensure the quality and accuracy of data analysis and insights provided to stakeholders. Utilize a variety of statistical and analysis techniques to solve complex business problems. Translate complex data insights into applicable business strategies. Communicate findings effectively to stakeholders at all levels, including senior leadership. Partner with cross-functional teams, including data engineering, data governance, marketing, and operations, to identify opportunities and deliver analytics solutions. Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across the organization. Effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences. What you'll need Experience with A/B testing, experimental design, and causal inference. Proficiency in SQL for data extraction, transformation, and data enrichment. Experience with data cleaning, preprocessing, and feature engineering. Knowledge of data governance principles and best practices. Strong programming skills in Python or for data analysis and model building support. Familiarity with statistical software packages (e.g., SAS, SPSS). Expert proficiency in conveying data insights though visual and written form appropriate for executive audiences. Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau, Power BI) to effectively communicate findings. Working knowledge of cloud computing environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP). Ability to leverage cloud technologies for scalable data processing and analysis. Excellent communication (verbal and written) and presentation skills. Passion for experimentation and innovation. Ability to align analytics initiatives with business objectives and drive data-driven decision-making. Skill in identifying and prioritizing high-impact analytics projects. Skill in applying analytical insights to solve real-world business problems. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to think critically, identify patterns, and draw meaningful conclusions from data. Creative problem-solving approach to tackle complex challenges. Passion for using data to drive informed decisions and improve business outcomes. Ability to advocate for data-driven decision-making across the organization. Commitment to data integrity and ethical data practices. Relevant qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Business Analytics, Data Science, or a related field. 7 years of experience in analytics and/or data science roles. Preferred education and experience Master’s degree in Statistics, Business Analytics, Data Science, or a related field. Preferred skills and abilities Extensive experience with Google Cloud Platform, Google Marketing Platform technologies and/or equivalent technologies. Familiarity with agile project methodologies.
