EOX Sales’s staff of highly trained sales engineers participate in ongoing industrial training sessions throughout the year in order to always stay current in the industry and educated in all facets of the ever changing marketplace.
We are looking for a qualified Regional Sales Engineer to join our team.
This role offers meaningful flexibility and independence - ideal for a driven, technically minded salesperson who thrives on autonomy, accountability and visible results. The sales engineer will represent EOX's manufacturers, promoting advanced RF/microwave and fiber optic electronic components, interconnects and systems solutions across a diverse customer base.
Essential Job Functions:
- Review, investigate, qualify, and develop new sales opportunities for EOX through appropriate proposition and ethical sales methods. Develop strategy, tactics, sales plans, and target customers.
- Increase sales in the FL (Western) territory.
- Develop and implement strategies and actions to close sales funnel opportunities.
- Work closely with the principals to ensure they are kept up to date with all relevant details on opportunities and activity in addition to providing them feedback, critical business updates, and future needs.
- Maintain a high degree of technical competence in product lines and their applications.
- Develop strong working relationships with all levels in the customer's organization (engineering, decision makers, managers, etc.).
- Travel extensively in the assigned geographical area to present and market EOX and its manufacturer’s products and services to both existing key accounts and new business opportunities.
- Attend national and local trade shows supporting EOX principals.
- Identify industry trends through research and related events, publications, and announcements; tracking individual customers. Similarly, develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of competition and competitive products.
- Sales forecasting (annual and monthly).
- Experience utilizing CRM Systems (Sales Force or similar) to their advantage.
- Submit timely and accurate expense reports for reimbursement.
A qualified Sales Engineer will possess the following skills:
- Bachelor's degree, Engineering or Technical degree preferred (Electrical, Mechanical, or RF/microwave focus ideal); or two plus years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Prior experience working for a manufacturer or re-seller of custom engineered RF solutions or coax cables, Military / Aerospace sales or related industries preferred.
- Capable of working on detailed specifications with engineers.
- Intermediate to advanced computer skills.
- Must be effective communicator with internal and external customers.
- Must be detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and presentation skills - Must
- Self-motivated and disciplined, capable of thriving in a flexible, largely self-directed role that rewards initiative and consistent performance.
