Responsibilities
- Transport clients for admission, discharge, medical appointment, etc.
- Provide orientation to new clients, check in personal property and perform luggage searches
- Provide for the safety of the clients by making rounds including all areas described in the Program Abuse Prevention Plan and overnight bed checks
- Interact with clients whenever possible
- Attend shift change report and department meetings
- Assist with the admissions and discharge process
- Chart interaction with clients and observations made in client’s record through electronic charting system
- Attend staff meetings and In-service trainings, as required
- Perform other duties as assigned
Skills & Qualifications
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Prior work experience in a residential treatment center environment helpful, but not required
- CPR and first aid certified - preferred, not required
- Ability to work independently
- Possess a valid driver's license
- The ability to drive a vehicle continuously for up to three hours
- The ability to lift and move objects weighing a minimum of 25 pounds
- Computer literacy in Microsoft Office, Word and Excel
- Strong interpersonal communication skills
