Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor located in Sauk Rapids, MN. The primary responsibilities include assessing clients' needs, developing individualized treatment plans, and providing counseling services. The counselor will conduct group and one-on-one therapy sessions, maintain accurate case records, and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for clients. Additional responsibilities include educating clients and families about addiction and recovery and supporting them throughout the treatment process.
Qualifications
- Certified as a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC) or other relevant licensure
- Proficiency in individual and group counseling, therapeutic techniques, and treatment planning
- Strong skills in communication, collaboration, and client education to support recovery and wellness
- Experience with case management, documentation, and maintaining compliance with regulatory standards
- Ability to effectively work with diverse populations and maintain a compassionate, patient-centered approach
- Familiarity with substance use disorders, addiction recovery frameworks, and related interventions
- Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred
- Prior experience in a behavioral health or clinical setting is an asset
