Job Summary:
We’re looking for an Executive Creative Director to define and elevate how our brand shows up in the world—everywhere, every day.
This is a rare opportunity to shape both the creative vision and strategy for a growing CPG brand across all touchpoints—from big, narrative brand storytelling to the details of how we show up in every touchpoint across paid media, social, DTC, and retail media.
You will not only set the look and feel of the brand—you will also own how creative thinking drives the business. This role will lead the development of insight-driven creative frameworks that connect brand storytelling to performance.
The right person brings both brand imagination and strategic rigor—someone who has built iconic work, but is equally energized by rolling that thinking into high-volume, high-impact, day-to-day execution.
Responsibilities:
Own and evolve the brand’s creative vision and strategy
- Define and continuously refine the brand’s visual identity, voice, and creative systems
- Develop the creative strategy frameworks that guide campaigns, content, and channel execution
- Translate brand and consumer insights into compelling, actionable creative direction
- Ensure a cohesive, distinctive look and feel across all channels and touchpoints
Lead storytelling across the ecosystem
- Drive breakthrough brand campaigns grounded in strong strategic thinking
- Ensure storytelling carries through from big ideas to everyday content
- Balance long-term brand building with short-term performance needs
Oversee all creative output
- Guide creative across paid media, organic social, DTC, and retail.com
- Set a high bar for craft, consistency, and effectiveness
- Provide hands-on creative direction and feedback
Build and lead a high-performing team
- Manage and mentor digital designers and Art Directors
- Foster a culture of creativity, collaboration, and accountability
- Elevate the team’s capabilities in both creative execution and strategic thinking
Bridge brand, strategy, and performance
- Partner closely with all cross-functional marketing teams
- Ensure creative is both brand-right and conversion-minded
- Use data and insights to inform creative strategy and iteration—without losing instinct
Act as the brand’s creative strategist
- Lead the development of campaign briefs, creative territories, and messaging frameworks
- Identify opportunities to sharpen positioning and differentiate in the category
- Bring an external perspective on culture, competitors, and creative trends to inform our direction
Collaborate cross-functionally
- Work closely with Marketing, Product, and Retail teams
- Ensure creative aligns with broader business priorities
- Influence stakeholders and champion creative excellence across the organization
Requirements:
- A seasoned creative leader with 15 years of experience, including significant time in top-tier creative/advertising agencies
- Strong background working on CPG or consumer brands
- Deep experience in both creative development and creative strategy (e.g., briefs, positioning, comms frameworks)
- A portfolio that demonstrates both brand-building campaigns and high-volume, high-quality execution
- Equally comfortable setting strategy, concepting big ideas, and refining the smallest details
- Experienced leading and developing creative teams
- Fluent in modern creative channels—social, digital, DTC, and retail ecosystems
- A storyteller at heart, with a sharp eye for design and visual culture
- Collaborative and able to inspire teams and stakeholders alike
- Able to navigate ambiguity and move fluidly between strategy and execution
