WHAT YOU WILL DO:
As a Network Deployment Engineer, you will play a critical role in the implementation, configuration, and troubleshooting of corporate network infrastructure across global office and data center locations. This position requires hands-on experience with enterprise networking hardware and deployment processes, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations during installations and upgrades.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Execute end-to-end physical and logical network deployments including planning, coordination, logistics, and documentation
- Contribute to the implementation, management, and troubleshooting of the corporate network across multiple global sites
- Create and manage build schedules for deployment activities to proactively prepare work prior to site visits
- Physically install and configure office and data center hardware, including:
- Rack elevation layout-based hardware installation
- Structured cabling and cable dressing per standards
- On-site hardware inventory, asset tagging, and submittal of inventory report
- Equipment configuration, testing, and troubleshooting
- Physical labeling of racked equipment and wireless access points
- Document and deploy hardware in alignment with network standards and procedures
- Review and optimize processes to ensure efficiency
- Follow established processes to minimize impact on employees during site activities
- Collaborate with project team members and vendors to identify and resolve issues
- Maintain and update task checklists, noting completion status and blockers
- Provide both on-site (with travel) and remote support
- Support site builds, decommissions, and retrofits
- Communicate clearly and effectively with project teams and vendors during global deployments
- 3–4 years’ experience in network hardware deployment across office and data center environments
- Proven track record in physical installation of network hardware devices, cabling, and cable management
- Strong knowledge of enterprise networking technologies (e.g., Cisco, Juniper)
- Experience with Layer 2 protocols (STP, ECMP, 802.1[d|s|w], LACP) and Layer 3 routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, VRFs)
- 1–2 years of experience with VPNs (DVMRP, GRE, IPSec/SSL VPNs)
- Ability to configure and troubleshoot TCP/IP, IPv6, BGP, OSPF, HSRP, VRRP in enterprise environments
- Strong working knowledge of security features such as ACLs, Firewalls, dynamic ARP inspection, and 802.1x
- Familiarity with installing and troubleshooting small cell DAS and CBRS systems
- Networking certifications such as CCNA, CCNP
- Juniper Certifications: JNCIP or JNCIS
- Travel requirements: 25%–40% domestic and international
- Ability to work outside regular hours, including evenings and weekends
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, global environment
- Strong ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams (network, security, voice/video, facilities)
- Use of automation tools for IP/IPv6 addressing, DNS entries, DHCP scopes, and equipment configurations
- Working knowledge of wireless technology (Cisco, Aruba) and wireless validation tools (Ekahau)
- Familiarity with network monitoring and configuration tools
- Scripting knowledge is an advantage (Python, jinja2, bash)
- Requires working knowledge of vendor products such as Cisco (Cat9K, ASR, Nexus), Juniper (QFX, EX, SRX), Aruba, HPE, BlueCat
- Experience with managed service delivery
- Exposure to global deployment projects and vendor coordination
