Description
As a Cashier, you will be the first point of contact for guests at our retail and dining outlets, providing excellent customer service while handling transactions efficiently. Key Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide outstanding customer service.
- Accurately process transactions, including cash, credit cards, and resort payment systems.
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system to enter orders and issue receipts.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization at the cashier station.
- Assist with answering guest inquiries about the resort amenities, menu, and promotions.
- Ensure compliance with food safety and handling guidelines.
- Assist with stocking and light food and beverage preparation as needed.
- Work collaboratively with kitchen staff and servers to ensure a smooth dining experience.
- Handle guest concerns or complaints professionally and escalate issues when necessary.
- Balance the cash drawer at the end of the shift. Retrieves and stores drawer per resort guidelines.
- Flexibility in assisting both the retail and F&B teams.
- Previous cashier, retail, food service, customer service or prior hospitality experience preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle transactions quickly and accurately.
- Basic math skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to effectively deal with and resolve conflict situations, such as inaccurate check total.
- Ability to operate a keyboard and Point of Sale equipment and procedures to handle cashier functions.
- Maintain a professional appearance.
- Availability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and occasionally lift up to 25 lbs.
