The Kingston Resorts is a 145 acre oceanfront resort on the north-end of Myrtle Beach. Less than 2 miles from Tanger Outlets and a short 20 minute trip to Broadway at the Beach. The Assistant Banquet Manager oversees set-up, food and beverage service, clean-up, and preparation for all food and beverage functions to ensure the highest quality standards are met. Control labor by producing schedules and overseeing payroll in the Banquet Department.

Requirements

• Assists with the planning, organizing and execution of all food and beverage functions.
• Hires, trains, supervises, and schedules food and beverage staff in accordance.
• Supervises food and beverage set up and clean up.
• Greets clients in charge and respond to requests.
• Speaks at roll call meetings prior to events to inform staff about event particulars and expectations.
• Attends all managers meetings on a weekly basis.
• Utilizes computer equipment.
  
  

Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established*Shops competitive hotel operations to keep abreast of marketing techniques and promotions.

• Supervises general cleaning tasks using standard hotel products as assigned to adhere to health standards.
• Abides by all state, federal and corporate liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests.
• Checks with Facilities, Catering and Culinary for any minute changes.
• Performs duties of line employees as needed under high volume and emergency situations.
  
  

Qualifications

Ability to read, write, and speak the English language fluently to interact with staff.

Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparations, service standards, guest relations and etiquette.

Knowledge of appropriate table settings and service ware.

Ability to make quick and accurate decisions.

Must possess strong organizational skills.

Ability to perform under pressure effectively for extensive periods of time while maintaining professionalism.

Ability to work under pressure and deal with stressful situations during busy periods.

Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. And to lift lighter objects overhead.

Ability to walk, stand, and/or bend continuously to perform essential job functions.
