What You'll Do
Financial Reporting & Compliance
- Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close with a focus on accuracy and timeliness
- Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and variance analyses
- Maintain the general ledger in accordance with GAAP (and IFRS where applicable)
- Support audits including DCAA, external auditors, and internal reviews
- Ensure compliance with FAR, DFARS, CAS, and indirect rate structures
- Analyze product costs, BOMs, routings, and inventory valuations
- Perform manufacturing variance analysis (PPV, labor, overhead absorption)
- Partner with Operations and Quality to improve cost accuracy and visibility
- Support cycle counts and annual physical inventory
- Collaborate cross-functionally to improve financial performance and reporting
- Identify and implement improvements to accounting processes and internal controls
- Participate in ERP enhancements, system implementations, and automation initiatives
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- ~5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in A&D manufacturing
- Strong knowledge of government contracting (FAR/DFARS, CAS)
- Experience supporting Incurred Cost Proposal submissions
- Solid understanding of GAAP, cost accounting, and inventory accounting
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Costpoint, Epicor)
- Strong analytical and communication skills, with a detail-oriented mindset
- CPA or CMA (or progress toward certification)
- Experience with IFRS
- Exposure to manufacturing KPIs, operational analytics, or ERP transformations
