Senior Accountant

Join EOS Defense Systems as a Senior Accountant supporting a fast-growing, mission-driven defense manufacturing organization. In this role, you'll be a key partner to both Finance and Operations-driving cost visibility, ensuring compliance with government contracting standards, and delivering insights that directly impact program performance.

This is an opportunity for an experienced A&D accounting professional to take ownership of manufacturing finance processes, influence decision-making, and help scale a complex, high-impact business.

What You'll Do

Financial Reporting & Compliance

• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close with a focus on accuracy and timeliness
• Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and variance analyses
• Maintain the general ledger in accordance with GAAP (and IFRS where applicable)
• Support audits including DCAA, external auditors, and internal reviews
• Ensure compliance with FAR, DFARS, CAS, and indirect rate structures
  
  

Cost Accounting & Manufacturing Finance

• Analyze product costs, BOMs, routings, and inventory valuations
• Perform manufacturing variance analysis (PPV, labor, overhead absorption)
• Partner with Operations and Quality to improve cost accuracy and visibility
• Support cycle counts and annual physical inventory
  
  

Business Partnership & Process Improvement

• Collaborate cross-functionally to improve financial performance and reporting
• Identify and implement improvements to accounting processes and internal controls
• Participate in ERP enhancements, system implementations, and automation initiatives
  
  

Required

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• ~5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in A&D manufacturing
• Strong knowledge of government contracting (FAR/DFARS, CAS)
• Experience supporting Incurred Cost Proposal submissions
• Solid understanding of GAAP, cost accounting, and inventory accounting
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Costpoint, Epicor)
• Strong analytical and communication skills, with a detail-oriented mindset
  
  

Preferred

• CPA or CMA (or progress toward certification)
• Experience with IFRS
• Exposure to manufacturing KPIs, operational analytics, or ERP transformations
