Project Control Analyst (FP&A)

We are looking for a Project Control Analyst to join our team!

We are looking for a project control analyst to monitor and evaluate the financial status of assigned projects to support accurate cost reporting. Compare actual project costs to established budgets and identify variances. Deliver clear, concise and reliable cost data to management. On-Site position

Minimum Requirements And Qualification

• Education: A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred.
• Experience: 5 years of experience in project accounting or a similar role is preferred, with an understanding of project management principles including FP&A.
• Proficiency in accounting software and spreadsheet programs, strong analytical skills, EVMS, ETC/EAC preparation, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities are essential.
• Experience working with FAR/DFAR and DCAA.
• Strong excel skills (VLOOKUP and PivotTables, preferred).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Major Responsibility Areas And Duties

• Financial Management: Oversee the financial aspects of specific projects, including creating detailed budgets, monitoring expenses, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.
• EVMS Reporting: Prepare and present project reports tracking baseline budget, actuals, earned value of work completed, estimate to complete, and estimate at completion.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare and present financial reports to project managers and stakeholders, providing insights into project profitability and financial performance.
• Cost Tracking: Monitor project costs and variances, conducting regular audits to verify the accuracy of financial transactions.
• Collaboration: Work closely with project managers to provide financial insights and support decision-making regarding project continuation or modification.
• Compliance: Ensure all financial operations related to the project adhere to relevant accounting standards and regulations.
• Proposals: Develop pricing structures that align with company policies and customer expectations and support negotiations by providing pricing insights and cost breakdowns.
• Scheduling: Developing and updating project schedules with project managers and teams to define task durations and dependencies.
• Monitoring projects: Identifying potential delays and ensuring schedules align with project budgets and deadlines.
• Other duties as assigned, not determined at the time of hire.
