Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role based in Boston, MA, for a Distribution Analyst. The Distribution Analyst position will partner with members of the business development and consultant relations team and broader Eolas Capital team members to support all marketing and sales initiatives and help drive the firm’s growth by providing analytical, operational, and strategic support to business development (sales and consultant relations) professionals who engage with investors such as:
· Pension funds
· Endowments and foundations
· Family Offices
· Wealth managers and financial advisors
· Consultants and intermediaries
Objectives of this role
- Improve, execute, and effectively communicate significant analyses that identify meaningful trends and opportunities across the industry
- Help the sales team work smarter – by giving them insights, data, and materials that sharpen their strategy and efficiency
- Provide strong, timely financial and business analytics for decisions by partners and organizational stakeholders
- Develop actionable road maps for improving workflows and processes, and establish and organize KPIs in line with global directives
- Help align the business development strategy with the firm’s product priorities
Responsibilities
- Research prospective investors and consultants to identify new opportunities
- Track industry trends, flows, and competitor positioning of our Partner Managers (e.g., using eVestment, FinSearches, FINTRX)
- Create competitive analysis on AUM flows, product performance, and investor segments to find areas for growth
- Contribute to product discussions by sharing market feedback from investors and consultants
- Help prepare for prospective investor and consultant meetings by creating briefing notes, coordinating prep meetings, analyzing peer universes, etc.
- Maintain and update databases/CRM systems (Salesforce) and tracking each stage of the sales pipeline
- Oversee firm’s social media presence and marketing distribution efforts on behalf of our Partner Managers
- Execute quarterly reporting on Partner Manager relationships
- Opportunity to engage in direct outreach and prospecting
- Respond to ad hoc requests from the sales team and senior leadership
Skills and qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent), preferably in finance, business management, or economics
- Organized, responsive, and operationally focused
- Advanced analytical skills, with experience collecting, organizing, and disseminating abundant information accurately
- Ability to present findings in a polished way
- Exceptional verbal, written, and visual communication skills
- Familiarity with investment products, financial markets, and asset classes
- Entrepreneurial mindset and self-starter, with a willingness and ability to multitask
- Series SIE, 7 and 63 licenses within 90 days of start
Compensation
Total compensation (defined as base salary plus bonus) is expected to be in the range of $65,000-85,000 annually.
