  • Work with subsystem Responsible Engineers (REs), program management, and mission assurance to align test activities with overall mission objectives
  • Serve as a voice in program reviews, risk assessments, and anomaly resolution
  • Engage with third-party vendors/contractors. Verify that purchased equipment meets specs/requirements upon delivery from vendors
  • Assist in the preparation and deployment of GSE/STE hardware to ensure the success and reliability of the spacecraft and its subsystems
  • Mentor test technicians and junior engineers

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, related engineering discipline, or equivalent
  • 5 years of professional test engineering experience, with 3 of those years focused on spacecraft/satellite applications
  • Experience with developing custom testing automation scripts and data acquisition
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities. This includes written communication as well as face-to-face interactions
  • Proven organizational skills and the ability to maintain multiple projects simultaneously
  • Demonstrated mastery of mechanical and electrical first principles
  • Demonstrated knowledge and use of ASME and aerospace engineering standards.
  • Familiarity with engineering best practices regarding aerospace mechanical/structural design
  • Experience with testing and operating electronics and electromechanical assemblies
  • Experience with rapid prototyping and testing to verify proof-of-concept designs
  • Experience with spacecraft RF communications is a bonus
  • Travel up to 25%

Compensation:
