EOG's International team is looking to add an experienced Drilling Engineer to our team. Duties will include but not be limited to well planning and design, writing AFEs, bidding and awarding vendor services, analyzing drilling performance & costs, providing operational engineering support, evaluating vendor performance, and investigation and application of new technologies to improve drilling performance and cost efficiencies in development and exploration drilling programs. A successful candidate will have experience across multiple basins in conventional and unconventional resource plays. Working effectively with G&G, Reservoir, Completion, Land, Construction and Regulatory groups will be required. This position will provide engineering support and potentially engineering guidance for multiple drilling engineers, rig operations & well site supervisors in the International Division.
- BS in Engineering required with a preference for Petroleum or Mechanical Engineering.
- 7-10 years of related oil & gas industry experience, 7 years in Drilling focused positions.
- Onshore and offshore drilling experience is required, shallow water jackup experience is preferred.
- Comprehensive understanding of well control practices and managed pressure drilling and HPHT experience is required.
- Candidate must have good communication, interpersonal and computer skills.
- Candidate should also be proficient in casing design, drilling fluids, cement design, directional planning and downhole tools.
- Candidate must be able to travel to field locations as required.
- Candidate must be willing to relocate.
Position will be filled at a level commensurate with experience.
