What are the responsibilities and job description for the Child Nutrition Assistant/Floater position at EOA Children's Services?
We are hiring for the 2026-2027 school year.
The Nutrition Assistant/Floater Is Responsible For These Essential Job Duties:
1. Record and Maintain Temperatures of food delivered from caterer.
2. Count out meal supplies for the day and let caterer know when supplies run low.
3. Put food on cart and take to each classroom.
4. Rinse containers for pick up by caterer and put in designated place.
5. Empty garbage daily and ensure that kitchen/food service area is kept clean and orderly.
6. Check to ensure breakfast food is on site for the next day.
7. Maintain awareness of dietary needs and ensure that food substitutions provided are
served to the correct child(ren).
8. Provide breaks and assistance in the classroom as assigned by supervisor.
This position is Monday through Friday, 7:30am - 3:30pm.
Applicants must be 18 yrs of age or older.
Applicants must have a High School Diploma or GED.
Must pass a criminal background check, child maltreatment check, and sex offender registry check.
