Role Description
We’re seeking a full-time Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team on-site in Las Vegas, NV. In this role, you’ll design, develop, and test mechanical systems for cutting-edge electro-optical products. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams—including Electrical, Optical, Firmware, and Manufacturing—to bring innovative concepts from design through to production.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop mechanical components and systems for EO products.
- Perform structural, thermal, and dynamic analysis using FEA/CFD tools.
- Create 3D models and 2D drawings using SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
- Support system integration and testing of mechanical and electro-optical assemblies.
- Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure design for manufacturability.
- Contribute to prototype builds, reviews, and iterative development cycles.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field with 5 years of experience, or Master’s with 3 years. A Ph.D. is a plus.
- Proficient in SolidWorks (3D modeling) and AutoCAD or equivalent 2D drafting tools.
- Strong experience with FEA, CFD, and simulation tools for mechanical analysis.
- Solid understanding of materials, tolerancing, and mechanical design principles.
- Experience designing for machining, additive manufacturing, or other production methods.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to also work independently.
- Experience with electro-optical systems or military/aerospace R&D projects is a strong plus.
- U.S. Citizenship is required due to the nature of our government contracts.
