Nursery Technician – Working Dog Breeding Program
Location: Wichita, KS
Position Type: Independent Contractor (1099)
Schedule: Morning, evening, and rotating shifts (including weekends as needed)

Position Overview
Executive Order Dobermans / Elite European Canines is seeking a Nursery Technician to support our neonatal and nursing-dam operations within a professional, high-standard working dog program. This role requires someone who is reliable, self-directed, and able to work autonomously in a fast-paced nursery environment where consistency and attention to detail are critical.
We are happy to train the right person. Prior nursery or breeding experience is not required for candidates who demonstrate reliability, strong work ethic, and the ability to follow protocols precisely.
Key Responsibilities
Daily Care & Feeding
- Feed and water nursing dams according to schedule
- Maintain strict bottle-feeding schedules for puppies
- Administer medications and supplements as directed
- Monitor puppies and dams for health concerns and report changes immediately
- Take nursing dams out for regular potty breaks
Nursery & Sanitation
- Clean and sanitize nursery pens, whelping boxes, and pads daily
- Spray and disinfect kennels in accordance with biosecurity protocols
- Sweep, mop, and maintain nursery floors
- Wash, dry, and properly store bedding, towels, and linens
- Wash, sanitize, and put away all bottles, dishes, and feeding supplies
- Keep nursery stocked with supplies (formula, pads, cleaning products, PPE)
Whelping & Neonatal Support
- Assist with whelping under supervision
- Support newborn puppies, including monitoring, warming, and feeding
- Follow strict neonatal handling and hygiene protocols
Required Qualifications
- Reliable personal transportation (required)
- Ability to work independently and autonomously without constant supervision
- Strong time-management and organizational skills
- Willingness to learn and follow detailed written and verbal protocols
- Physically able to stand, bend, lift, and perform repetitive cleaning tasks
- Ability to remain calm in high-responsibility situations (whelping, neonatal care)
- Dependable, punctual, and consistent attendance
- Must be able to pass a drug test
Preferred (Not Required)
- Experience with puppies, breeding programs, or neonatal animal care
- Experience administering medications or supplements
- Kennel, veterinary, farm, or animal care background
Work Environment
- Professional working dog nursery
- Same dogs daily (not a public kennel)
- High cleanliness and biosecurity standards
- Fast-paced, detail-oriented setting

- This is a 1099 independent contractor position
- Candidate must be able to pass a background check and drug test
