Envy Exteriors is seeking an experienced, talented Landscape Designer to join our growing team in Tomball, Texas.
With more than 25 years of experience, Envy Exteriors is an established, family-owned luxury residential design-build company specializing in high-end landscapes, custom swimming pools, outdoor living environments, and complete exterior transformations throughout The Woodlands and Northwest Greater Houston.
We are looking for an accomplished designer with a strong portfolio of upscale residential projects, exceptional knowledge of regional plant materials, and a thorough understanding of landscape design and construction practices.

What We're Looking For
Our ideal candidate has a minimum of 5–7 years of professional landscape design experience, with an emphasis on luxury residential properties, custom homes, and sophisticated outdoor environments.
Extensive knowledge of plant materials appropriate for the Greater Houston region is essential.
Candidates must demonstrate a thorough understanding of regional horticulture, including plant selection, soil conditions, drainage requirements, sun exposure, seasonal performance, and long-term landscape sustainability.
Previous professional landscape design experience within the Greater Houston market is required.
We are particularly interested in designers who understand the level of detail, creativity, and execution expected in high-end residential construction.
Primary Responsibilities
- Create exceptional landscape designs for luxury residential properties and custom homes.
- Develop detailed landscape plans, planting plans, and construction-related drawings.
- Select and specify appropriate plant materials based on aesthetics, site conditions, and regional growing requirements.
- Incorporate grading, drainage, irrigation, hardscape, and other essential site considerations into landscape designs.
- Prepare accurate material estimates, quantity takeoffs, plant schedules, and project budgets for landscape installations.
- Calculate plant quantities, hardscape materials, soil, mulch, and other materials required for installation.
- Develop designs with consideration for construction costs, material requirements, and established project budgets.
- Collaborate with our experienced construction and installation teams to ensure designs are practical, accurate, and executable.
- Coordinate landscape designs with other elements of comprehensive exterior projects.
- Maintain exceptional standards of creativity, accuracy, and attention to detail.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5–7 years of professional landscape design experience.
- Proven experience designing high-end residential landscapes.
- Extensive knowledge of plants, trees, shrubs, and landscape materials appropriate for the Greater Houston climate.
- Previous professional landscape design experience within the Houston market.
- Strong understanding of landscape construction practices, grading, drainage, irrigation, and hardscape applications.
- Demonstrated experience in material estimating, quantity takeoffs, and project budgeting for residential landscape construction.
- Ability to accurately calculate plant quantities, hardscape materials, soil, mulch, and other landscape installation requirements.
- Understanding of construction costs and the ability to develop designs that align with project budgets.
- Ability to read and interpret site plans, surveys, elevations, and construction documents.
- Experience producing detailed, professional landscape designs using CAD, hand drafting, or comparable design methods.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple design projects.
- Portfolio demonstrating high-quality residential landscape design experience.

- Advanced hardscape design and construction detailing.
- Client consultations and professional design presentations.
- Project management and construction coordination.
- Experience overseeing projects from initial concept through installation.
- Design-related sales experience or business development capabilities.
- Experience leading design teams or managing multiple departments.
These additional qualifications are not required. However, candidates with broader experience and the ability to assume additional responsibilities will be considered for higher compensation and expanded career opportunities.
