GET TO KNOW YOUR AREA:
The Chemical Product Regulation & Safety Specialist acts as the central point of contact for all chemical composition, product safety, and regulatory information, ensuring accuracy, accountability, and high-quality support to Regulatory Managers, innovation teams, ESG, Product Supply and Customers.
- Provide clear ownership for chemical composition & safety information
- Strengthen regulatory compliance and reduce business risks
- Maintain validated, high-quality product and substance data
- Improve cross-functional alignment between RA, Product Stewardship, EHS, QA, Sustainability, R&D.
YOUR MISSION WILL BE TO:
- Establish and manage the Single Source of Truth (SSOT) for all chemical composition, regulatory status, and safety data
- Maintain verified information related to substances, mixtures, impurities, additives, restricted chemicals, and SVHCs
- Ensure data integrity across systems
- Prepare or coordinate data for:
✓ Chemical Safety Reports
✓ Pre-approval dossiers
- Single point of contact for all product safety and chemical composition questions from customers:
✓ Product Statements
✓ Restricted Substance Declarations
✓ SVHC/Prop 65/CMR statements
✓ Chemical responsibility questionnaires
- Support internal and external audits related to chemical safety and regulatory compliance.
- Implement corrective actions and continuous improvement measures.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for regulatory and safety processes.
- Manage third-party relationships and associated technical solutions, including managing communications, resolving issues, and ensuring timely updates.
- Project coordination to implement changes and manage the release of updated chemical data documentation.
ARE YOU READY FOR THE ROLE?
Main requirements:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in chemistry, Toxicology, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field.
- 5 years’ experience in chemical regulatory affairs or product safety.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret complex regulatory requirements.
- Familiarity with toxicology, ecotoxicology, or risk assessment methodologies.
- Experience in working within manufacturing or R&D-driven organizations
- Deep knowledge and understanding of chemical safety regulations and risk assessment methodologies.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal,
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken
