Responsibilities:
- Safely operate assigned motor vehicles to ensure timely and efficient transportation of patients
- Develop strong relationships with patients and residents, providing exceptional care and support
- Assist ambulatory and non-ambulatory individuals enter and leave the vehicle, ensuring their safety and well-being
- Monitor and maintain the vehicle's condition, reporting any issues or concerns to supervisory personnel
- Record and document each bus trip, including passenger attendance, mileage, and time
- Perform basic maintenance functions, including checking lights, fluid levels, and tire pressure
Qualifications and Skills:
Certified Nurse Aide
- Basic knowledge of methods and techniques used to load, secure, and unload passengers from a motor vehicle
- Skill in the operation and basic maintenance of assigned motor vehicle
- Ability to follow oral/written instructions, keep accurate records, and establish effective working relationships
- Ability to lift, maneuver, and support materials up to 80 pounds
- Possession of a valid driver's license
- 6-12 months of work experience operating, loading, and unloading a motor vehicle
