Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Billing Specialist to join our remote finance team. In this work-from-home role, you will be responsible for preparing and processing invoices, maintaining accurate billing records, resolving billing inquiries, and ensuring timely payment processing. Key Responsibilities- Prepare, review, and process customer invoices accurately and on time
- Maintain billing records and ensure all financial information is up to date
- Verify billing data, pricing, and payment details for accuracy
- Respond to customer billing inquiries via phone, email, and online communication platforms
- Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies promptly
- Process account adjustments, credits, and payment applications when necessary
- Monitor outstanding invoices and assist with payment follow-ups
- Collaborate with the accounting and customer service teams to resolve billing issues
- Maintain confidential financial information and company records
- Generate billing reports and assist with month-end reconciliation activities
- Perform data entry and general administrative duties as assigned
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business is a plus)
- Previous experience in billing, accounting, bookkeeping, customer service, or administrative support is preferred but not required
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Basic understanding of invoicing and financial recordkeeping
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and accounting or billing software is a plus
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
