ABOUT THE POSITION:
Looking for a rewarding career in human services? Envisions is looking for Life Skills Instructors (LSI)/ Direct Support Professionals (DSP) to work with the individuals we serve. Guaranteed full time work.
Monday- Friday, 8am-4pm, we work what is called a straight 8, no clocking out for lunch as you will eat on the break floor with the individuals, assisting them with their lunches. (all staff are given time to eat their lunch and run out to grab lunch if needed) this gives everyone an extra hour in their day! Our company focuses on skill programs, life skills classes and community inclusion for our individuals at day service. We go to museums, parks, the zoo, bowling, and every Tuesday staff accompany our individuals to a movie! (staff tickets are paid for by Envisions) Envisions offers horse Therapy to our individuals served, allowing staff to experience different settings in their work, such as working with horses if they have interest. The Life Skill Instructor will provide supervision and and assistance to assigned individuals within the guidelines of Nebraska Health and Human Services. Staff will be responsible for helping to provide a safe and pleasant environment. Some of the daily tasks will be, but not limited to running programs, participate in outings, administer and document medications and assist with health and hygiene needs.
REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:
High School diploma or equivalent. All training is paid and done on site
Must be able to perform all aspects of the position including basic household management and budgeting of money efficiently.
Prefer to have a valid driver’s license in the State of Nebraska, and a good driving record.
