Role: Python Backend Developer - AWS
Location: Malvern, PA - onsite
Long term contract
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy scalable applications using Python and AWS cloud services.
- Build and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices using frameworks such as Flask, FastAPI, or Django.
- Develop serverless applications utilizing AWS Lambda, API Gateway, Step Functions, and EventBridge.
- Implement cloud-native architectures leveraging AWS services including EC2, ECS, EKS, S3, RDS, DynamoDB, SQS, and SNS.
- Design and optimize data pipelines for processing large-scale datasets.
- Integrate applications with third-party APIs, databases, and enterprise systems.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and deployment using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
- Develop CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, or AWS CodePipeline.
- Monitor application performance and troubleshoot production issues using CloudWatch, X-Ray, and logging tools.
- Implement security best practices including IAM policies, encryption, secrets management, and compliance controls.
- Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and Agile ceremonies.
- Collaborate with DevOps, QA, Product Owners, and Solution Architects to deliver high-quality solutions.
Required Skills
Programming
- Strong experience in Python development.
- Expertise in object-oriented programming, design patterns, and clean coding principles.
- Experience with FastAPI, Flask, or Django frameworks.
