Position Summary
As a Shipping and Receiving Specialist you will be responsible for coordinating the receipt, storage, and distribution of incoming materials, as well as preparing and processing outgoing shipments; including domestic and international. Working alongside a collaborative team, you will support those that develop and deliver the high-quality products and innovative solutions that define Envision Technology. This position requires a high level of attention to detail, accuracy, organization, and accountability, as the role involves verifying part numbers, quantities, documentation, shipping addresses, and transportation requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Pack and prepare items for shipment according to work instructions
- Complete commercial invoices and required documentation for international shipments
- Create and apply accurate shipping labels
- Coordinate with freight forwarders, carriers, and brokers to ensure accurate and timely pickup and delivery
- Track shipments and resolve issues related to package location or delays
- Complete and maintain all required shipping and receiving documentation
- Unload incoming shipments safely and efficiently
- Inspect incoming materials for visible defects or damage
- Verify quantities received against packing slips and purchase orders
- Record receipts in the ERP system
- Communicate with internal departments regarding discrepancies or logistics issues
- Deliver materials to the appropriate locations within the facility
- Follow all safety protocols and warehouse procedures
- Perform additional tasks assigned
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2 years of experience in shipping, receiving, and stockroom
- Knowledge of basic inventory management practices
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift for extended periods
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with ERP or inventory management systems
- Familiarity with defense industry shipping requirements or ITAR‑controlled materials
- Knowledge of carrier platforms, freight forwarding processes, or international documentation
- Additional logistics, warehouse, or quality‑related skills
