Job Overview
We are looking for a Machine Operator (Excavator) with a CDL A Driver’s License to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of operating an excavator to clear lots for homebuilding, as well as experience transporting equipment to various job sites. A valid CDL A license is required.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a CDL A truck to transport equipment between job sites.
- Safely operate an excavator to clear and prepare lots for homebuilding.
- Follow all safety procedures diligently to prevent accidents and promote a safe working environment on job sites and while operating vehicles.
- Maintain and properly care for machinery, equipment, and trucks.
- Report any issues with machinery, equipment, or trucks, as well as any job-site concerns, to management.
- Assist with septic system installation as needed.
Skills & Qualifications
- Ability to safely operate an excavator.
- Ability to install septic systems (training may be provided for the right candidate).
- Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and quality control checks.
- Knowledge of safety standards and safe driving practices for CDL A operations.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints.
- Willingness to learn and be trained on new equipment and procedures.
- Valid CDL A Driver’s License.
Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 50.0 per week
