Front Desk Support
Reports to: Office Manager
Job Summary:
Front Desk Support is responsible for welcoming patients by greeting them in a pleasant manner, updating their patient file and directing them appropriately throughout their visit; ensuring that their visit is a pleasant experience.
For the exceptional and motivated, successful candidate, you will have the opportunity to train and alternatively work in the on-site diagnostic laboratory performing introductory protocols that aid in patient care and compliance.
Duties:
- Checking patients in/out.
- Going over new patient paperwork.
- Collecting co-payments for the visit as well as working with patients to enter a payment plan if there are outstanding balances.
- Greeting patients in person as well as on the phone.
- Schedule patient follow up appointments, coordinating care with referral destinations - i.e. physical therapy, imaging, etc.
- Input new patient and insurance information; update patient demographics, contact info and insurance information at each visit.
- Assist patients with insurance and billing questions.
- Data Entry for patient information and updating patient demographics every time.
- Maintains reception and work area neat and orderly.
- All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED), required.
- Medical Office Training Certificate preferred or equivalent medical office experience.
- One year experience in customer service preferred.
- One year experience with medical terminology preferred.
- Must have good organizational skills.
- Must have the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Must have strong communication skills.
- Proficient in computers and keyboarding.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Must have a service-oriented personality, great customer service skills required.
Physical and Environmental Requirements:
- Extended periods of time sitting and walking.
- Bending and stooping may be required.
- Ability to do repetitive work, i.e., keyboarding and writing.
- Ability to work on a computer for extended periods of time.
- Ability to lift and move 15 pounds.
- Vision and hearing corrected to normal limits.

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
