Headquartered in Atlanta, GA, our storage operations are currently spread across North America, and expanding as we develop, build, and acquire best-in-class cold storage facilities to serve our customers’ needs.

What We’re Looking For

As General Manager, you will be responsible for planning, prioritizing, and maintaining order within our warehouse operations. This role will require effective management of people and resources, as well as monitoring safety and productivity, all while staying within budget. The General Manager will work with the executive team, while overseeing the facility, to accomplish the goals and objectives of the company.

Candidates must be fluent in English and Spanish, verbal and written. Candidates will reside in/near the Miami area, but relocation assistance may be provided for the ideal candidate.

What You’ll Do (including, But Not Limited To)

• Manage the entire workforce of the facility – including managers, supervisors, administrators and warehouse workers.
• Oversee the daily operations of the cold storage facility.
• Ensure strategic goals are met.
• Coordinate with HR and Talent Acquisition for hiring needs.
• Conduct annual performance reviews for staff.
• Manage staff performance, including administering verbal and written warnings following company policies and procedures.
• Coordinate any terminations with the HR Department.
• Create and maintain an environment that is conducive to teamwork and collaboration.
• Identify inefficiencies in the facility and work collaboratively with staff and leaders towards a resolution.
• Ensure products are being handled, stored, and managed in accordance with all Province and Federal regulations.
• Adhere to all warehousing, handling, and shipping legislation requirements.
• Sustain operational policies.
• Maintain and improve upon efficient use of storage and dock space.
• Create and maintain budgets to meet corporate targets.
• Act as liaison to clients, account management and provide excellent customer service.
• Review KPI’s, reports, and statistics with facility leaders and executive team.
• Govern warehouse, food and employee safe practices and total quality management.
• Monitor and maintain appropriate room temperatures, regulatory compliance, licenses, and certifications.
• Adhere to all safety related procedures and work with Supervisors and Associates to ensure a “safety first” work environment.
• Process all accidents in a timely manner and record all work incidents/near misses as appropriate
• Generate incident reports and communicate with site leadership and the HR Department.
• Perform other duties as requested.
  
  

Requirements

What you’ll bring to the role:

• Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent work experience.
• 7-10 years of operations management in Supply Chain, Warehousing or related field ideal; cold storage experience highly preferred
• Experience in managing employees in a warehouse setting.
• Highly Proficient in working with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
• Thorough understanding of CFIA and HACCP highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of warehousing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
• Experience with Food Safety requirements and responsibilities.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated background in budgeting, cost control and profitability.
• Trained in Total Quality Management, Commercial Refrigeration, Inventory/Supply Chain Management and Hazard and Safety Management.
