Pay: $25.00 to $30.00 per hour
Envision Benefits Group is hiring a Benefits and Leave Specialist to support two of our core client services. You'll manage leave of absence cases for the employees of our leave administration clients, guiding each case from the first request through the employee's return to work. You'll also handle the day-to-day administration for our small group benefits clients, including renewals, enrollments, carrier paperwork, commission reconciliation, and invoice audits. This administrative role suits someone organized and detail-focused who likes being the go-to person for employees, clients, and carriers.

What You'll Do
Leave of Absence Administration
- Serve as the first point of contact for employee leave requests (FMLA, NYS Paid Family Leave, NYS Disability)
- Send leave packets and notices, and confirm eligibility
- Collect medical certifications and submit claims to carriers
- Track each case from the first request through the employee's return to work
Benefits Administration
- Assemble and email renewal packets, then follow up for plan elections
- Complete carrier paperwork and build client groups in benefits platforms
- Process enrollments, changes, and terminations
- Answer employee questions about ID cards, claims, and coverage
- Reconcile carrier commission statements
- Audit monthly carrier invoices and resolve billing errors
Requirements, What We're Looking For
- At least 1 year of experience in HR, group benefits, insurance, payroll, or an administrative role handling confidential employee information
- Associate's degree in business or bachelor's degree in HR preferred
- Leave or benefits administration experience is a plus, but not required (we'll train you)
- Comfortable with Microsoft 365, including Excel
- Quick to learn web-based platforms and carrier portals
- Discreet with medical and personal information
- The kind of person who notices when a number doesn't match, and fixes it
Compensation and Benefits
- $25.00 to $30.00 per hour, based on experience
