Location: Midland, Texas (New Envirotech Engineering & Consulting Office)
Role: Business Development / Sales Lead – Oil & Gas Infrastructure & Regulatory Services
Type: Full-Time, On-site (with travel across Southwest Texas)
About Envirotech Engineering & Consulting, Inc.
Envirotech is a seasoned, full-service design, environmental, survey, and geotechnical engineering firm. Since 1992, we’ve delivered integrated infrastructure and environmental solutions—handling everything from planning and permitting through design and construction oversight.
Our core services include:
- Engineering, design, and permitting.
- Environmental consulting, sampling, and assessments.
- Regulatory assistance (RRC, NMOCD, BLM, State Land Office, TCEQ).
- Geotechnical investigation and materials testing.
- Topographic survey, boundary survey, pipeline ROW surveys, and construction staking.
In our Oil & Gas practice, we specialize in regulatory compliance, SPCC/SWPP plan development, GHG emissions accounting, frac pit design, remediation, and more.
The Opportunity:
We’ve launched a new office in Midland, Texas, to expand our reach within the heart of the Permian Basin. To support this growth, we are looking for a Business Development Lead who will:
- Cultivate and expand relationships with existing clients in oil and gas (midstream, upstream, and E&P).
- Identify, pitch, and win new business—both private, non-oil and gas site development, and in the oil and gas infrastructure projects.
- Promote Envirotech’s multidisciplinary capabilities: engineering, permitting, environmental, geotechnical, and survey.
- Drive revenue growth in permitting and regulatory services (e.g., SWD/injection well permitting, SPCC, and air/GHG emissions).
- Engage in market research, competitor analysis, and build pipeline strategies for Southwest Texas.
- Collaborate with Envirotech technical teams to assemble tailored proposals and the scope of work.
What You’ll Bring to the Table:
- Proven experience in business development, sales, or client relationship management—ideally in the oil and gas sector.
- Deep understanding of oil and gas regulatory environment (state/federal permitting, RRC, NMOCD, SPCC, SWPP, NEPA, and emissions).
- Ability to speak credibly about engineering, design, and geotechnical solutions.
- A wide network within the Permian Basin (operators, midstream companies, developers) is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills — both technical and commercial.
- Willingness to travel regularly within the region and meet clients onsite.
- Self-starter mindset: You will be part of building our presence in the region!
Why Envirotech and Why Midland:
- Growth potential: You’ll be instrumental in driving our expansion in a booming region.
- Diverse service offerings: Unlike firms that focus only on permitting or assessments, we deliver full-cycle design, engineering, environmental, and construction support.
- Technical credibility: Our teams produce high-quality, technically sound solutions — giving you a strong foundation for client trust.
- Impact: Help shape projects that balance development with regulatory compliance and environmental stewardship.
- Collaborative culture: We’re a tight-knit, entrepreneurial group — your ideas and business strategy will carry real weight.
What Success Looks Like
- Pipeline built: You establish a pipeline of oil and gas infrastructure and private development projects in southwest Texas.
- Revenue growth: Measurable new revenue from permitting, design, and regulatory services.
- Client relationships: Long-term relationships formed with key accounts (operators, developers).
- Regional presence: Successfully launched and represented Envirotech’s Midland office.
