This position is ideal for an entry-level to mid-level engineer (0–5 years of experience) who is eager to apply engineering principles to solve complex environmental and regulatory challenges.
At Envirotech, you'll work on a wide variety of projects involving air quality, water quality, environmental permitting, regulatory compliance, groundwater protection, greenhouse gas reporting, environmental investigations, and engineering design. - Prepare engineering analyses, technical reports, and calculations supporting environmental permitting and regulatory compliance.
- Design and evaluate environmental systems related to emissions, water management, and environmental compliance.
- Prepare permit applications for state and federal regulatory agencies.
- Assist with air quality permitting, emissions inventories, and compliance reporting.
- Prepare greenhouse gas (GHG) inventories and CARB/EPA reporting.
- Develop Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPPs), Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasure (SPCC) Plans, and other environmental compliance documents.
- Support groundwater, produced water, and wastewater management projects.
- Conduct engineering evaluations, field investigations, inspections, and environmental assessments.
- Analyze environmental data and prepare technical memoranda and engineering reports.
- Interface with clients, regulatory agencies, contractors, and project teams.
- Support project managers in delivering high-quality environmental consulting services.
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Geology, Environmental Science, or a closely related engineering or earth science discipline.
- 0–5 years of environmental engineering or consulting experience.
- Strong analytical, technical writing, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
Experience in one or more of the following is a plus:
- Air quality permitting and emissions calculations
- Greenhouse gas reporting (CARB/EPA)
- Water quality permitting and regulatory compliance
- Stormwater compliance (SWPPP)
- SPCC Plans
- CEQA/NEPA documentation
- Groundwater and hydrogeologic investigations
- Environmental permitting
- GIS, AutoCAD, or environmental modeling software
