Role Description The Program Specialist for Government & Commercial Projects serves as a key team member acting as a primary focal point for overseeing EnviroSafe Demil (ESD) programs involving the destruction of items such as ammunition, evidence, and other materials. This position requires a flexibility that may involve “working with your hands”, computer-related work, and even sales prospecting for business development purposes. This role includes supporting leadership in achieving objectives and ensuring programmatic metrics are being met. The Program Specialist assists in overseeing all programmatic schedules, costs, pricing, and requirements. The Program Specialist is also responsible for prospecting and marketing to potential clients and customers to grow the business and ESD Government and Commercial destruction programs. Comfortability working with government, law enforcement, and commercial clients is critical.


Responsibilities

  • Assist customers in scheduling shipment and coordinating receipt of items and materials to ESD’s facility, to include weighing, inspecting, and routing through ESD processes.
  • Plan, execute, and monitor programmatic schedules, costs, resources, and finances.
  • Provide program direction to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate and interface with all ESD departments, customers, or government personnel to ensure schedules, metrics, and Requirements are met.
  • Assist in maintaining program Quality Assurance and Quality Control
  • Seek opportunities to grow the company’s ammunition and asset destruction program in alignment with the company’s strategies and goals.
  • Develop, draft, and deliver contracts, proposals, and quotes.
  • Conduct market research and sourcing, while contacting potential customers to prospect for business development and sales.
  • Contact clients through travel, telephone, networking events, trade shows, e-mail, social media, conventions, and letters.
  • Other roles and responsibilities as deemed necessary by the company.


Desired Qualifications & Experience

  • 5 years of experience in the hazardous waste industry or defense/government contracting with specific experience in business development, contracting, or sales. Direct or tangential experience in the munitions, ammunition (civilian or military), energetics, demilitarization, explosives ordinance disposal, law enforcement, or related field is highly desired.
  • A professional, polished, organized self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit and a strong desire to achieve.
  • Ability to identify, foster, and maintain client relationships.
  • Ability to research, identify, and qualify new opportunities and clients.
  • Strong work ethic and the ability to multi-task and be effective in an ever-changing environment.
  •  Effective communicator while being friendly, courteous, professional, and outgoing with excellent communication skills both orally and written.
  • Excellent presentation and client relation skills.
  • Skilled with Microsoft Office products (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc).
  • Must be willing and able to travel as needed.
  • Must be able to lift approximately 50 pounds.
