Position Overview
We are seeking a dependable, customer-focused Pool, Spa & Fireplace Sales & Office Assistant to join our local team. This position works directly with customers both in-store and over the phone, helping them find the right products and solutions for their pools, spas, fireplaces, and outdoor living needs.
Pool experience is strongly preferred. The ideal candidate has previous experience working with pools, pool maintenance, pool chemicals, or water care and is comfortable helping customers troubleshoot common pool and water-quality issues.
We provide on-the-job training and continued education to help the right candidate expand their knowledge of our products, water testing, and pool and spa care.
Responsibilities
- Assist customers with retail purchases of pools, spas, fireplaces, pool supplies, and pool chemicals
- Perform pool water testing for customers
- Review water test results and recommend appropriate products and steps to properly balance pool water
- Help customers troubleshoot common pool maintenance and water-quality concerns
- Answer incoming phone calls and assist with customer questions
- Provide knowledgeable, friendly customer service both in person and over the phone
- Process customer transactions using the point-of-sale (POS) system
- Process and file paperwork and maintain organized customer and sales records
- Learn product features, pool-care best practices, and water chemistry through ongoing training and education
- Assist with other day-to-day retail operations as needed
Qualifications
- Previous pool industry or pool maintenance experience is strongly preferred
- Knowledge of pool chemicals, water chemistry, water testing, or pool equipment is a plus
- Retail sales or customer service experience preferred
- Previous experience using a point-of-sale (POS) system preferred
- Strong computer literacy and comfort learning and using various software and digital systems
- Comfortable working directly with customers and making product recommendations
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Dependable, professional, and willing to learn
- Ability to work Saturdays during the busy summer pool season as needed
Schedule
Regular schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM.
During the busy summer pool season, Saturday availability will be required as needed.
Always off Sundays.
