We are fast-growing, locally owned, and looking for HARD WORKERS with POSITIVE ATTITUDES to perform environmental fieldwork for our Heating Oil Tank Department.
This is an entry-level position perfect for someone looking to gain experience in the environmental field, but is VERY labor intensive and requires you to spend a lot of time in confined spaces, dealing with petroleum vapors, and working out in the elements year-round.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Environmental Field Technician to join our team. As an Environmental Field Technician, you will play a crucial role environmental projects and ensuring compliance with regulations in accordance with the Department of Environmental Quality .
The ideal candidate will have experience with the following:
- Soil and Groundwater Sampling
- Soil Gas Sampling
- Hazardous Waste Cleanup
- Soil Vapor Extraction Systems
- Labor intensive construction work
A day in the life of an Environmental Field Tech can range from using electromagnetic locators or ground penetrating radar to locate underground tanks, to soil, water, and air vapor sampling, lots hand digging, excavation, and crawlspace work. This is NOT an easy job by any stretch of the imagination. The right fit will have a passion for the environment and intensely enjoy the construction aspect of this vital occupation.

Requirements:
-High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- Bachelors degree in environmental science, geology, or related disciplines is REQUIRED
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong attention to detail and OSHA safety protocols.
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
- Flexibility to work in various environmental conditions.
