ENVIRONMENTAL EMERGENCY RESONSE MANAGER | ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

- Lead/manage/schedule teams of environmental technicians who respond to hazardous and non-hazardous material releases to air, soil and water.
- Lead the on-call emergency response program with a hands-on, collaborative approach.
- Be the primary point of contact for clients.
- Prepare detailed instructions for field staff and direct their project work.
- Prepare/review and maintain internal emergency response reports
- Collaboratively work and coordinate with other staff to problem solve and produce
- Manage profitability of projects.
- Conduct safety audits and site inspections to help support staff maintain high level of safety on every site.
- Foster safety, staff development, authenticity, and accountability.
- Regional and some overnight travel will be required. Company vehicle provided.
- Set up contracts, prepare proposals and project reports.
- Write project-specific health and safety plans.
- Other duties as assigned.
ENVIRONMENTAL EMERGENCY RESONSE MANAGER | COMPETENCIES:
- Working knowledge of Federal & State EPA and DOT Regulations, as well as hands on experience with Hazardous Materials Response Operations.
- Capable of managing deadline-driven projects and workload.
- Ability to understand and interpret regulatory guidelines.
- Individual must be highly motivated, able to work well in a small team environment, and have a strong focus on Customer Service.
- Ability to work and communicate with a variety of individuals with different personalities and communication styles.
- Strong organizational and problem solving skills with the ability to multi-task.
- Ability to prepare detailed reports.
- Requires effective time management skills, and change management abilities.
ENVIRONMENTAL EMERGENCY RESONSE MANAGER | POSITION TYPE AND EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK:
This is a full-time position that will do work in both an office and field environment. Ability to work flexible hours with potential for overnight travel. This position will also be on-call to respond to emergency work.
ENVIRONMENTAL EMERGENCY RESONSE MANAGER | REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- For insurability purposes a valid Driver's License is required.
- Two (2) years emergency or Environmental Response Management experience required.
- Two (2) years Hazardous Materials Response Operations experience required.
- Two (2) years Industrial Maintenance/Services and/or Construction experience required
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office required.
- High School diploma or GED required.
ENVIRONMENTAL EMERGENCY RESONSE MANAGER | PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- CDL A/B strongly preferred
- 40-hour HAZWOPER certified strongly preferred.
- OSHA 10 preferred
- Three (3) years supervisory experience preferred.
ENVIRONMENTAL EMERGENCY RESONSE MANAGER | POSITION SUMMARY:
Manage emergency response projects and the investigation and cleanup of contaminated properties in Missouri and surrounding states. Work load will consist of emergency response and scheduled work.
ENVIRONMENTAL EMERGENCY RESONSE MANAGER | WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Work is performed in both a professional office environment and uncontrolled atmosphere. Exposure to harsh conditions such as: dust, fumes, chemicals, hazardous materials, noise, and varying weather and temperatures for long periods of time is possible. All employees are required to follow safety standards and wear all personal protective equipment in designated areas. Work in diverse environments such as confined spaces, various heights, and storage tanks. Work outdoors in all weather conditions; extreme heat, cold, dry or wet environment.
ENVIRONMENTAL EMERGENCY RESONSE MANAGER | PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to walk, stand, use hands and fingers, grip, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; and talk and hear. Ability to regularly lift and carry 50 pounds. This position will require the use of a respirator and/or SCBA.
PAY RANGE: $65,000 - $75,000/year
