The Janitorial Supervisor coordinates and assists employees in performing activities related to cleaning and maintaining the premises of commercial, industrial, and medical establishments RESPONSIBILITIES:Assign tasks to workers, and inspect completed work for conformance to standardsIssues supplies and equipmentResolve workers' problems or refers matters to the ManagerPerform the duties of workers supervisedDirectly supervise the performance outcomes of 2 to 50 janitorial service employeesAssist in training employeesPlan, assign, and direct workProvide feedback for managers to effectively appraise employee performanceAddress customer complaints and resolves problemsCollaborate with employees and perform related duties as a Working SupervisorQUALIFICATIONS (MUST HAVE):High school diploma or equivalent, or a minimum of three (3) years of verifiable work historyMinimum of two (2) years of supervisory experience in the janitorial industryAttention to detailAbility to follow instructions effectivelyPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (NICE TO HAVE):Prior cleaning or janitorial experienceFamiliarity with custodial practices and commercial cleaning standardsKnowledge of floor care techniques including buffing and waxingExperience in industrial cleaning or facilities maintenanceBENEFITS:Medical, dental, vision, basic life, AD&D, retirement plan and disability insuranceEight paid holidays annually, five sick days, and four personal daysVacation time offered at an accrual rate of 3.08 hours biweekly.
