Environmental Science & Assessment is looking for a full-time experienced Environmental Specialist/Wetland Scientist who enjoys working collaboratively on a variety of natural resources projects. This individual will work primarily in a support role to senior staff on wetland or wildlife habitat documentation, including field data collection, data entry, graphic production, and online mapping research. Position is non-exempt hourly with schedule flexibility.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of bachelor’s degree in botany, biology, or related field
- Minimum of 2-4 years of natural resource technical support (public agency experience may be included)
- Pacific Northwest plant community knowledge
- Experience with riparian restoration
- Demonstrated experience in field data collection
- Excellent organizational and verbal/written communication skills
- Assemble, write, and edit technical reports and prepare support graphic exhibits
Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
Familiar with data transfer of Trimble GPS to base surveys
Familiar with QGIS
