Senior GIS Analyst

Environmental Consulting & Technology (ECT) is seeking a highly skilled GIS Professional and Subject Matter Expert to join our team. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in enhancing our GIS capabilities, driving the adoption of new technologies, and leading the implementation of innovative automation processes. Duties & Responsibilities:

• Compile, manage, and analyze spatial datasets from multiple sources.
• Create high-quality cartographic products for reports, proposals, and presentations.
• Perform spatial analyses to support environmental modeling, site assessments, and permitting.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify automation opportunities and implement solutions to optimize workflows and data management.
• Develop, implement, and support GIS data automation processes, enhancing efficiency and reducing manual tasks.
• Utilize tools such as Python, Model Builder, Arcade, and Microsoft Power Automate to create and manage GIS automation workflows.
• Provide training and technical support to internal teams on GIS tools, automation techniques, and best practices.
• Manage and execute complex GIS projects, ensuring timely completion and adherence to scope and budget.
• Assess and recommend upgrades to current GIS technologies and systems to ensure they align with business objectives.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in GIS technology, automation tools, and environmental data management trends.
• Contribute to the creation of GIS strategies and roadmaps aligned with ECT’s technology and business goals.

 Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in GIS, Geography, Environmental Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience working with GIS, with a focus on environmental applications and data analysis.
• Proven expertise in implementing and managing GIS software such as ArcGIS, QGIS, or similar platforms.
• Extensive experience with GIS automation, including Python, Model Builder, and Microsoft Power Automate.
• Strong background in spatial data management, including geodatabases, spatial analysis, and data visualization.
• Experience with cloud-based GIS technologies and integration with other environmental software tools is a plus.

• Certification in GIS or related areas is a plus (e.g., Esri Technical Certification).
