Environmental Air Systems, a full-service mechanical contractor, is seeking a Traffic Control team member to join our manufacturing shop in High Point, North Carolina. This position is available on first shift. This role encompasses a wide variety of skills depending on the department where you are placed. For example, you may assist other employees with cleaning, operating machinery, welding, plumbing/pipefitting, ductwork, carpentry, or electrical work. Responsibilities:
- Assist other trades employees in your department as directed (e.g. Welders, Pipefitters, Electricians, etc.)
- Handle material
- Use power tools (e.g. circular saw, drill, reciprocating saw, etc.)
- Work safely and adhere to all safety rules and policies
- Work in a fast-paced team environment
- Reading and speaking proficiency in either English or Spanish required.
- Minimum of a high school education or equivalent
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or construction environment preferred
- Ability to speak and read either English or Spanish required
- Ability to read a tape measure required
- Ability to read blueprints preferred
- Ability to work independently and on a team
- Strong verbal communication skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to stoop, bend, crawl, and climb ladders throughout the shift
- Ability to stand and work for prolonged periods of time
- Ability to work in conditions of varying heat and cold where noise levels are at or above 90 decibels
